Indonesia ranks seventh across the globe with a cryptocurrency user base of more than 7.4 million users. It’s a market offering massive growth potential, where Sinarmas saw the vision of the first-ever Indonesian cryptocurrency offering.

We partnered with Sinarmas to design, develop, and build the first app that offered a real-value cryptocurrency portfolio for Indonesians, along with starting their global stocks portfolio.

A vision of microservices

We worked on the app for 3 months, from design to launch, and integrated the main core offerings of cryptocurrency and global stocks in a single app. We also incorporated the self-serve microservices that are key for users to start their cryptocurrency journey or let established users continue theirs.

The process involved lean design to flesh out the details of an engaging and delightful user experience, while prototyping and testing rigorously to ensure it meets the needs of a growing crypto user base in Indonesia.

Built on consistency

We collaborated closely with the technical team, with rituals that enabled creatives and engineers to craft a design system that was unified. Our goal was to ensure that every detail was ironed out as the app was handed over from design to development, while keeping to our consistent design system and components.

This helped us to create an app that met the needs of the cryptocurrency user base in Indonesia without disrupting an engaging, user experience.
