As India's largest private sector lender, ICICI Bank sought to launch a digital banking service through the growth of smartphones and a surge in digital transactions. They wanted to launch a digital banking service that enables users to instantly send or request money to/from an email address, mobile number, Facebook and bank account.
Engaging mobile wallet customers
Aleph partnered with ICIC Bank to design and build the mobile application. With a rise in mobile wallets by non-bank players, there was more competition swarming the digital banking space. We applied meaningful and relevant UI/UX design through development to ensure that target customers can have a great experience while browsing and using the app.
An experience that retained users
Over 2 million downloads within 6 months from launch, with 70% of downloads coming from non ICICI Bank customers.
