Role description

Are you a fresh graduate looking to kickstart your career in finance? We're on the lookout for a Finance Executive to handle the financial operations in Singapore, focusing on monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. Your role will involve collaborating with the country accountant, reporting to the FD, and supporting the CEO in managing the financial aspects of the Singapore entity.
 

Key responsibilites

  • Issuance of client invoices, collections, and building client relationships.
  • Ensuring timely payment and tracking of aged payables, including supplier and third-party invoices.
  • Calculating and submitting monthly trial balance, P&L, and Balance sheet.
  • Monthly review of Singapore accounts with senior management.
  • Submission of monthly accounts to the parent company via an online system.
  • Maintenance of inter-company accounts for the Singapore entity.
  • Preparation of monthly staff payroll and review with higher management.
  • Collaborating with Regional Operations to track the accuracy of online subscriptions and services.
  • Managing company corporate credit card expenses.
  • Tracking and maintaining fixed assets in an asset management tool.
  • Maintaining the treasury function to ensure adequate cash at all times.
  • Responsible for quarterly GST submission to IRAS portal and quarterly SingStat surveys.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual corporate income tax returns and liaising with external tax service providers for timely tax filing.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other teams, including HR/project teams as required.
  • Tracking government grants and pay-outs.
  • Supporting analytical, management reviews, and work assignments from time to time.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy or relevant professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CIMA), or currently pursuing professional examinations.
  • Fresh graduates or someone with 1-2 experience in finance.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite with good time management skills.
  • Experience in using Xero or a similar online platform is preferred.
  • Excellent oral and writing communication skills.
  • Capability of preparing files and maintaining records and documentation.
  • Trustworthy, with a sense of accountability and responsibility.
