Job description
We are looking for the Lead Drupal Developer responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality, establishing and guiding the website’s architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the Content Management System. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of complex Drupal-based applications, guiding a team of developers, and ensuring high-quality project delivery. The Drupal Lead will work closely with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and robust solutions.
Key responsibilites
- Responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and clients.
- Responsible for developing server-side logic, definition and maintenance of database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from clients.
- Responsible for setting up LAMP stacks.
- Responsible for integrating front-end elements built by other people into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to a team of Drupal developers. Guide the team through best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards. Implement and oversee automated testing and continuous integration processes.
- Oversee the maintenance and support of existing Drupal applications. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide progress updates, and deliver technical solutions. Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Prerequisites
- Strong knowledge of Drupal 7⁄8/9/10. Experience with Drupal theming and module development.
- Strong knowledge of OOP PHP programming.
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Strong knowledge of designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of Git.
- Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and tools such as Symfony, Composer, Drush, and Git.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools like JIRA, Trello, Slack, and Confluence.
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Basic understanding of Linux server administration.
